Netwrix Innovation Week: Netwrix Access Analyzer 26 – Major Advances in DSPM
Oct 21, 2025
Netwrix Access Analyzer 26 redefines data security posture management with an architecture built for scalability, flexibility, and speed. Its new connector framework supports any modern programming language, enabling rapid integration across cloud and on-premises environments. Paired with advanced visualization tools, Access Analyzer 26 empowers organizations to discover, understand, and secure sensitive data at scale while maintaining control and efficiency.
Years ago, when we first set out to tackle the biggest challenges in data security, things looked different than they do today. Data was spread across distributed file servers and databases within an organization's premises and data centers. Each held small pockets of information that needed to be discovered, scanned, and secured. We built Access Analyzer to help organizations understand where their sensitive data resides, who has access to it, and how to remediate risky permissions so they could achieve least privilege at scale.
The problems we addressed early on remain relevant today, but everything around them has evolved. At that time, data lived across tens of thousands of endpoints. Today, customers rely on massive clustered NAS systems and cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, OneDrive, AWS, and Snowflake. The same data security questions remain, but success now requires a new approach that delivers the scale, speed, and flexibility modern environments demand.
Earlier this week, I sat down with Grady Summers and Jordan Violet to discuss what’s new in Access Analyzer 26 and how we’re rethinking data security posture management at scale. The short answer: it’s a complete leap forward.

Architecture Built for the Future
I’ve always believed that, as the saying goes, “as the twig is bent, so grows the tree.” Architecture defines what’s possible both now and in the future. Our connector framework is designed so that a connector can be written in any modern programming language.
If it can run a web server, we can build on it. If a computer can talk to a source, we can connect to it. It doesn’t matter how obscure the data is; if it’s reachable, it’s manageable. That openness gives us unlimited flexibility and scalability to meet any data security need.
Practical Scalability
Scalability isn’t just theoretical; it’s practical:
- Scale connectors to scan tens of millions of files.
- Adjust for smaller workloads to conserve resources.
- Apply capacity where it matters most for efficiency and control.
That level of adaptability is what makes Access Analyzer 26 so powerful.
Advanced Data Visualization
Our architecture allows connectors to be built for virtually anything, and we’ve paired that flexibility with advanced visualization tools. We’re not a company that builds visualization libraries. We’re a company that helps customers collect and understand their data as quickly and securely as possible.
We use the best technologies available to analyze tens of millions, hundreds of millions, even billions of data points at scale.
The Leap Forward
Access Analyzer 26 is agile, extensible, and built to grow with our customers. We’ve combined years of experience with modern architecture and AI-driven design to redefine what’s possible in data security.
Innovation Week at Netwrix
Netwrix Innovation Week is a multi-day series highlighting the breakthroughs shaping the future of data and identity security. Each day focuses on a different theme — from our 1Secure Platform and Netwrix AI, to Access Analyzer, Copilot Readiness, ITDR, and beyond. The series builds toward the virtual Netwrix Innovation Summit on 22 October, where our leadership team will showcase how these innovations connect into a unified vision
